Feldenkrais® for Children with Special Needs

Seeing the Potential

I offer a unique developmental path for your child, based on the profound learning principles of the Feldenkrais Method.

My work is rooted in the belief that every child possesses an innate intelligence and an untapped potential for growth.
I engage in a quiet, attentive dialogue with your child, meeting them exactly where they are.

We look for ease and possibility, always choosing the next movement based on what feels lightest and most curious to the child.

This approach allows the child's nervous system to organically discover new, effective, and joyful ways to move, communicate, and engage with the world.

A Gentle Path to Developmental Breakthroughs

Functional Integration (FI) with children is a hands-on, one-on-one session where the practitioner communicates through sensitive touch and movement. The work is designed to help the child:

  • Expand Their Repertoire: Introduce subtle movement options that were previously unknown or unavailable, enriching their motor skills.

  • Improve Self-Organization: Enhance the quality of the connections between their body parts, leading to better balance, posture, and coordination.

  • Support Holistic Development: Because movement is the foundation of learning, these physical discoveries often lead to breakthroughs in cognitive function, emotional regulation, and social interaction.

This personalized learning creates a foundation of safety, curiosity, and comfort, allowing the child to build stable, lifelong skills at their own pace.

About me

Hi, I’m Avigail, a certified Feldenkrais practitioner working with adults and children in Copenhagen.

My approach with children is gentle, attentive, and grounded in deep respect for each family’s unique story.

Over the years I’ve had the privilege to work with many children with a wide range of needs.
Each one has taught me something about curiosity, patience, and the many ways learning can unfold.

I believe in small steps, a calm environment, and giving children the space to discover their own abilities.
